BUMPY ROADS STUDIO

In this 3-part Clay Night, artist Peter Purdy will teach students intermediate sculpting skills. Students will learn to shape and sculpt a bust or head.

March 3rd from 6 pm- 9 pm: Initial shaping of bust/head
March 10th from 6 pm- 9 pm: Hollowing out of bust/head
March 17th from 6pm-9pm: Finalizing texture

Peter is a multidisciplinary Anishnaabe artist who studied at the Ottawa School of Art in both fine art and traditional hand drawn animation and since been working within the arts throughout the Capital Region. 

Pieces will be ready for pickup at the studio 4-5 weeks after the last evening.

About the Instructor
Originally born in raised in Mattawa, Ontario, Peter has been working for the past thirty years as an artist, instructor, curator, set designer and event organizer. Most recently know as the local organizer for Art Battle Canada, Peter has consistently focused on helping fellow artists advance their skills and find new audiences.

COVID Protocol
Each workshop participant have their own area with dedicated wheel and tools. Student are asked to perform a COVID self-assessment before each class and call Public Health and refrain from attending class if they experience symptoms.

Refund Policy
$50 is refundable if cancellation notification is received 7 calendar days prior to the event date. Fees are not refundable past this timeline unless the event is suspended due to public health measures mandated by Government authorities. In this case, a full refund will be issued.
